There has been an online campaign to have Sesame Street Characters Bert and Ernie get Married now that New York (where Sesame Street is located) has equalised marriage.

Personally I think there is nothing odd about this campaign... after all Barbie and Ken were married and later broke up and this did not sexualise the dolls for children so why would the proposed union not be just the same... the thing that adults do...

I'd prefer they didn't, I liked the fact they argue all the time.... it was funny. It would be odd if that changed.
