It's impossible to write this blog without the tears flowing, flowing for a woman that never had an argument with her mother, never got angry at a speeding fine, never stood in dog poo and thought 'oh great'. Today Azaria Chamberlain would have been 32, my age, probably rushing around like a mad person trying to get her kids organised after the long weekend and off to school, lamenting their pent up energy after the cold wet weekend that ruined the family plans.

As my new project, the construction of the Australian Canine Sports & Training Centre draws to a close I have started to populate the fields with sheep and ducks, all of which to date brought down from my family Station in Queensland.
Not far from the Centre is the beautiful locality of Windsor, made famous in the 1980's as the setting of the popular TV series 'A Country Practice', it truly is a beautiful part of the world and I often pinch myself that here within cooee of the insanity and endless sea of housing and pavement that is Sydney is the tranquil region of green hills, ponds and traditional Australia.

The past 9 months of my life has pretty much been overtaken by Australia's own Dog the Dingo. I was approached about a year ago whilst still on crutches and trying to film a promo for a Dog Behaviour Show in the United States to give a few comments on my experiences and views on Dingoes from the perspective of a sheep farmer for another project by the same production company. It must have been the genuine pain in my eyes... or the well crafted pieces to camera by Mike, the jack of all trades, but next thing I know I am having a conversation about flying to Broken Hill to start filming.... as the Shows Host.

When Campbell Newman was handed the incredible Majority to form Government in Queensland he promised to serve all its people and to get the State back on track.
Few Governments have embarked on such profound change as his has in the first few weeks of taking charge of Treasury and with good reason, the once Go Ahead State was creaking backwards under Labor and along with the vast majority of Queenslanders I longed for an alternative and was pleased to see a New Broom come along to sweep out the cobwebs that form on Long Term Government of any colour.
