BigMac2There are evil things in this world and often they make us feel very very very good thanks to damn dopamine dilemma, that neurotransmitter reward system that encourages behaviour that our better judgement would say don't do it as their are consequences.

Whilst many humans suffer under this DDD when they shag someone they shouldn't, drag on a cigarette, snort some drug manufactured in rather disgusting circumstances I have the problem of having my DDD when I see a certain Scottish Restaurant ...and no not the one that serves haggis.

I mean seriously I have tried so hard to improve my health after having such a bad year, but once I see those big yellow arches I get the auto pilot kicking n and taking my magically through the drive thru and ordering some burger which has more calories than I can run off before I really should get into bed.

Weight loss is straight forward as is good health in general...eat healthy and exercise and if you consume more calories than you utilise you gain weight.

I know this we all know this....but those all beef patties, those golden fries that sweet tomato sauce....

Look at Me I'm worse than Pavlov's Dogs!

At this point I either just head directly to a Gym to get the DDD from that other great past time, weight training, but sometimes I crash into a blubbering loss like Golum and his 'Precious' savouring that sugar/salt/fat soaked excuse for a meal.

I watched a documentary not long ago on the 'Meth Epidemic' it highlight that Crystal Meth gave a person 12 times the DDD than what you get from eating fatty foods and 6 times what you get from sex... no wonder it is addictive. The problem is that Meth so affects the brain that it re wires itself and nothing is as fulfilling any more which is why addicts often become shells of them self without empathy or feeling for other humans. There have been clear patterns in the use of Meth use, crime and Meth Purity which are often the result of Government intervention of the supply chain.

Perhaps that is what I need Government intervention.... because all this typing has me hankering for that double beef fill.
